Some social media platforms are spreading an article published in a local journal concerning the alleged measures that His Excellency the Governor intends to take soon “in agreement with banks”, and the article drifts into giving details and analyzing the consequences and objectives of these measures. Therefore, the Association of Banks in Lebanon would like to affirm that these news are completely unfounded and lack credibility, and that they aim at misleading the public opinion. We invite the public opinion not to rely on anything but the press releases or declarations issued by official authorities or by the ABL that are making sure the citizens are always aware of the measures and decisions related to banking matters and relations.
