On Tuesday 21st of February, Senator Bob Corker Jr., Head of the foreign affairs Committee of the US Senat and the accompanying team paid a visit to the Association of Banks in Lebanon, in the presence of US Ambassador to Lebanon Mrs. Elizabeth Richard. President Dr. Torbey and some members of the Board working team were present to receive them. The banking relations between Lebanon and the United States were discussed, and in particular, relations of the Lebanese banks with their American correspondent banks in New York and the importance of its consolidation to the benefit of the Lebanese economy, which is characterized by a high degree of dollarization.
