Bank Audi Organizes “A Day at Bank Audi”

March 23 2015

In alignment with its Financial Literacy Program for Youth, Bank Audi, the leading bank in Lebanon, took part in the Global Money Week international “Save today. Safe tomorrow!” initiative and was the first Lebanese bank to organize an event targeting students in this context: “A Day at Bank Audi”, which consisted in inviting high school students to the Bank’s head office, took place from March 10 till 13, 2015.

Global Money Week is a worldwide celebration intended to empower the next generation of financial actors and lead them to become confident, responsible and skilled economic citizens. Every year, entire communities take joint action to reshape the financial landscape and give young people the tools and inspiration they need to shape their own future.

Global Money Week takes place every year during the second week of March. It is coordinated by the Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI) Secretariat, but the events themselves are organised by schools, universities, government ministries, central banks, financial institutions, members of the civil society, and active youth communities worldwide.

It is in this context that over 250 students from Beirut Evangelical School for Girls & Boys, Saints Coeurs Ain Najm, Al Makassed Ali Ben Abi Taleb College, Al Makassed Khaled Ben Al Waleed College, Dhour Chweir Public High School, and Ghobeiry Public High School for Girls, were hosted by Bank Audi.

The students attended presentations delivered by Bank Audi employees on basic banking concepts, e-payment solutions and card services, and compliance. They also visited the Bank’s Bab Idriss branch, as well as its e-gallery and e-branch.

This initiative aimed at enhancing financial literacy through communicating with specific stakeholders, and raising awareness among future customers on financial planning and management, savings, electronic payments and social inclusion. All participating students were granted certificates of participation.
