Bank of Beirut and Caritas Liban Sign MOU

Bank of Beirut s.a.l signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Caritas-Liban to launch an exclusive and unique micro credit for small enterprises and craftsmen granting them the facilities they need to grow their business.  

 

The MOU was signed on June 30th, 2011 at Caritas Head Office in Sin El Fil, in the presence of Father Simon Faddoul, President of Caritas – Liban and Caritas board members, along with representatives from Bank of Beirut: Mr. Salim Sfeir, Chairman General Manager, Mr. Najib Semaan, AGM – Global Markets, Mr. George Aouad - Head of Retail Banking and Mr. Tony Safarian, Head of Marketing and Corporate communications.

 

Both Sfeir and Faddoul praised this cooperation aiming at serving the society and supporting small enterprises all over Lebanon. Faddoul expressed his institution’s pride to launch a joint program with Bank of Beirut, a bank known for its excellent performance and social responsibility embodied through projects that contribute to the development of community and the revitalization of the economy, particularly in rural areas.

 

For his part, Sfeir considered that this project “reflects the shared commitment of Bank of Beirut and Caritas to help Lebanese citizens stay in their towns, and preserve the identity of a land that is more than a country, a message”.

 

This remarkable cooperation between Bank of Beirut and Caritas Liban is a significant proof of Bank of Beirut’s greatest commitment towards the society it serves and its continuous endeavors to contribute to the development and support of the Lebanese community.
