Bank of Beirut’s Chairman visits Beirut Hellenic Bank-Australia

Mr. Salim Sfeir Chairman General Manager of Bank of Beirut has been recently on a visit to Australia where he met key customers and business leaders and visited various branches of Beirut Hellenic Bank, Bank of Beirut’s newly acquired subsidiary in Australia. Mr. Sfeir’s tour included also several encounters with businessmen, members of the Lebanese community and eminent social, religious and political figures. 

 

Accompanied by Messrs. Fouad Chaker and Elias Alouf from Bank of Beirut Senior Management and Mr. James Wakim, CEO of Beirut Hellenic Bank, Sfeir visited BHB branches where he was greeted by hundreds of customers and guests. He also met members of the Lebanese community in Australia, in addition to Bank’s customers and staff, and held meetings with potential and existing international trade clients, politicians, and various eminent figures and organizations.

 

During a tribute dinner held by Wakim in honor of Mr. Salim Sfeir and attended by a number of companies' owners, traders, businessmen and media representatives, Mr. Sfeir said: “Beirut Hellenic Bank is one of the most liquid and well capitalized banks within its peer group and has the competitive advantage to expand business operations through Bank of Beirut local and international network of branches and representative offices, in London, Frankfurt, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, Nigeria, Cyprus and Iraq, adding that the Bank will endeavour to succeed, not only in Australia, but across the world.”

 

Gala dinners in honor of Mr. Sfeir were also hosted by Metropolitan Saliba and Father Antoine Tarabay, Superior of St Charbel Monastery in Sydney, in presence of guests from the Lebanese community who discussed Lebanon’s economic, real estate and trade situation with their Lebanese guest.

 

It is worth mentioning that Beirut Hellenic Bank recently added a new branch to its network in Granville – NSW, taking the total number of the Bank’s branches to 14, spread across Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
