Bank of Beirut Wins the MasterCard Award and Celebrates the Success of the First NGO Project in Lebanon

Bank of Beirut has received an award from MasterCard in recognition of the success of its first community engagement program with Caritas Lebanon. The program was implemented soon after the launch of the Caritas Affinity MasterCard Credit Card.

The award from MasterCard honors Bank of Beirut’s successful affinity with Caritas Lebanon and the efforts deployed by the bank in serving the Lebanese community. Bank of Beirut has launched a range of product offerings designed to support the NGO, including the Caritas Affinity MasterCard Credit Card, whereby a part of the earnings are channeled to support Caritas’ mission and activities. To date, Caritas has already received a significant amount of support through the program.

Commenting on the award, Georges Aouad, Director – Head of Retail and Branch Division, Bank of Beirut, said “We are proud to receive this special MasterCard Award and it will definitely give us an additional boost to pursue our Corporate Social Responsibility endeavors. Bank of Beirut will not spare any effort to promote the welfare of the Lebanese citizens, and this is one of the noble principles that brought us together with Caritas."
