Banque Libano-Française and Help Lebanon rehabilitate facades of buildings in Hay El Kanayess, Furn El Shebbak

Aiming at reviving the Furn el Shebbak area, fostering the welfare of its residents, and raising community awareness about heritage preservation, Banque Libano-Française (BLF) committed once again with Help Lebanon to rehabilitate facades of more than 30 buildings totalizing 35,709 m2 in Hay el Kanayess Street in Furn El Shebbak.

With the rehabilitation works coming to a close, Liliane Tyan, President of Help Lebanon Association, stated: “We had a motivating collaboration with the Municipality of Furn El Shebbak, who was attentive to the needs of the residents and committed to the success of this project.”

Tania Rizk, Director of Group Communications at BLF, said: “BLF is committed to preserve the heritage, better the living conditions of our community members and beautify our country. In line with this commitment, we teamed up with Help Lebanon in 2005, and rehabilitated to date, more than 470 buildings in several streets in Beirut and its suburbs.”

Liliane Tyan concluded: “This action confirms that Help Lebanon projects have gained momentum thanks to fruitful partnerships between the Association, the residents of the regions where we are operating, the Municipalities, and the sponsors. I want to praise BLF, “A Partner for Your Ambitions”, for its valuable contribution to this project and its long-standing support to our action. To date, Help Lebanon rehabilitated more than 10,000 building facades in more than 200 streets in Lebanon have been rehabilitated thanks to Help Lebanon and we hope to pursue our projects in Beirut and in other Lebanese regions whose Municipalities are approaching us.”
