Building on the success of their first annual student competition, Banque Libano-Française (BLF) and the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs (IFI) at the American University of Beirut partnered with the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education and Wageningen University and Research (WUR) in the Netherlands to launch a second competition, on a regional level, entitled “Climate Change and Water Scarcity, Exploring the Water- Energy- Food Nexus”.
This new competition is open to graduate students from all universities in the Levant region, as well as from IHE Delft and WUR.
The theme addresses water energy and food nexus and how to put them into practice by adapting to climate change and water scarcity challenges. It aims to encourage interdisciplinary research on climate change leading to policy making. It will offer students the opportunity to select, design and present innovative and multidisciplinary concepts.
