Banque Libano-Française voted "Energy Ambassador 2017” during the International Beirut Energy Forum

Banque Libano-Française (BLF) received the prize “Energy Ambassador of the year 2017 – Lebanese Financial Institution” during the International Beirut Energy Forum.

The prize was presented by the Director of the Energy Department at the Arab League, Ms. Jamila Matar, in the presence of H.E. the Minister of Energy and Water in Lebanon, Mr. Cesar Abi Khalil, and Dr. Riad Salame, Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon.

Mr. Maurice Iskandar, Assistant General Manager, received the prize on behalf of the Bank and thanked the organizers stating that “as the leading socially responsible bank in Lebanon, BLF has initiated many innovative projects as part of its long-term Sustainable Energy Finance strategy. This prize, which caps efforts spanning more than seven years, is but one milestone in our long march towards sustainability and shared values”.

BLF’s long-term green vision includes working hand in hand with all stakeholders to build solid and sustainable partnerships, actively participating in shaping environmental policies, developing eco-friendly products and services, adopting environmentally-friendly practices at the workplace, while raising green awareness within its sphere of influence among its staff and all internal and external stakeholders.
