In a ceremony held at The National Press Club in Washington, DC on 11/10/2014, BLOM Bank was awarded “Best Bank in Lebanon for 2014” from the renowned international financial institution, Global Finance. The ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund/World Bank. The award commends BLOM Bank for its strong and balanced growth amid exceptional conditions in Lebanon and the region, and attests to the success of its measured regional expansion and its innovative financial products. The award also represents another prominent indication of BLOM Bank’s unanimous choice as the “Best Bank in Lebanon” from all reputable international financial institutions. The award was received by Mr. Saad Azhari, Chairman and General Manager of BLOM Bank, from Mr. Joe Giarraputo, President of Global Finance. Mr. Azhari thanked Global Finance for its appreciation of BLOM Bank’s performance, and said that “the award also proves the solid strength of BLOM Bank, the success of its strategy, and its steady position as one of the leading Arab banks in the region”.
