For the Sixth consecutive year, BLOMINVEST Bank sponsored the AUB Virtual Stock Exchange competition. Organized by AUB’s Business Student Society, in collaboration with BLOMINVEST Bank, this initiative falls under the Bank’s social mission to disseminate trading knowledge among university students. In fact, this competition aims at emphasizing the importance of the stock exchange field, developing the sense of trading in students and revealing their hidden talents for a possible future career.

For three months, students from across AUB took part in a simulated Stock Exchange competition where they managed portfolios and competed against each other. 

The first three winners, Messrs. Hrag Bedoyan, Zahi Ghorayeb and Alexandre Doumet, were chosen by a joint panel from AUB’s Olayan Business School represented by Dr. Georges Namur and BLOMINVEST Bank executives headed by Dr. Fadi Osseiran. The criteria for judging involved the strategy used, the portfolio’s return and the presentation method.

The winners received prizes valued up to $5,000 in terms of prepaid BLOM cards and got the opportunity to pursue an internship at BLOMINVEST Bank. In this perspective, BLOMINVEST Bank aims at establishing an early banking relation with the future generation.
