Fransabank launches the implementation of its Mobile Banking/Payments Project

Fransabank a leader in offering internet banking and telephone banking technologies in town has signed a mutual agreement with Viamobile for the implementation of an innovative Mobile Money service at Fransabank, with the objective of offering the Bank’s clients the most innovative, convenient and efficient banking experience. The new service will be launched this year and will complement Fransabank’s array of advanced and innovative e-banking products and services.

 

Mr. Nabil Kassar, Deputy General Manager at Fransabank said on the occasion: “The high penetration of mobile phones along with continuous advances in technology, have brought about an unprecedented opportunity to offer economical and truly innovative mobile payment and banking services.”  Mr. Nabil Kassar added: “This is the beginning of a new era where people can use their phones as a tool to manage their money. The Mobile revolution is here.” He stressed: “At Fransabank, it has become one of our prime intrinsic characteristics to take the lead in bringing to our clients technology innovations in order to provide them with cutting edge products and services.”

 

He elaborated: “In this context, we attach great importance to this project to avail to all our clients this technology which combines efficiency with convenience to manage their money and access their bank accounts via their mobile phones instantly with optimal security and confidence at the most economic terms and conditions.”

 

Mr. Karim Khoury, Managing Director, Viamobile said on the occasion: “Our Mobile Money service is an innovative financial product for everyone, urban and rural. It’s a unique product designed to take personal banking to a whole new level. We are happy to provide it to Fransabank as the first adopter in Lebanon with Viamobile.”

 

Mobile Money is a highly secure, easy-to-use, convenient, and instantaneous service using state of the art technology provided by Creova (France) that offers users the ability to manage, send, and receive money directly from their mobile phones. Additionally, the global mobile money transfer market is expected to grow beyond $65bn by 2014, according to a recent study released by Juniper Research.
