ABL’s training department started its 2011 program of activities with the collaboration of Deloitte & Touch by organizing a seminar on “Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process. Managers of Banks Risk department attended the seminar which was held on Friday, January 14^th, 2011 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Beirut.

This Seminar aims at enhancing the knowledge of the participants of the best practices applied in the internal risk management of banks’ capital in compliance with Basel 2. Presentation and exercises were performed during the session by two experts from Deloitte & Touch Luxembourg. Dr. Amine Awad, member of the Banking control commission, explained the memo n°9/2010 dated January 20^th, 2010 issued by the commission and the recommendations of Basel 2 in this area.
