At the Seminar on "Proposals for Reforms of the Code of Penal Procedures" held at the "Maison de l'Avocat" and organized by the Bar Association of Beirut in collaboration with the Paris Bar-France, the Chairman of the Association of Banks in Lebanon, Dr. François Bassil hosted a luncheon in honor of Pierre-Olivier Sur at “Le Maillon” restaurant in Ashrafieh. A large number of French and Lebanese lawyers who attended the seminar were present as well as the president of the Bar Association in Beirut Esq. Jreige and in Tripoli, Esq. Khoury, the President of the State Council, Judge Chukri Sader, the Attorney General, Samir Hammoud, previous presidents of Bar Association in Beyrouth and Tripoli, the members of the Council of Beirut Bar Association, ABL Board Members and the Secretary General, Dr. Makram Sader.
Dr. Bassil and Esq. Jreige delivered a speech followed by a short speech of Esquire Sur, in which he stressed on the profound Franco-Lebanese relations and in particular, the deep relations between the bars and banking sectors of both countries, praising the role of the Association of Banks and thanking the Chairman for the invitation and his efforts at the level of public service.
