Bank of Beirut Wraps up its 7th “U for Youth” Boot Camp Pursuing its Education Support Strategy

As part of Bank of Beirut’s corporate social responsibility strategy to support education and invest in the new generation, Bank of Beirut just wrapped-up the seventh Work Success Boot Camp training workshop especially tailored by AMIDEAST for the Bank’s U for Youth program. The 7th version of the Work Success Boot Camp gathered 21 students from various Lebanese universities who won this very special free training program.

It is worth mentioning that more than 150 university students have benefited so far from the Boot Camp and 36 scholarships worth USD 108,000 have been granted by Bank of Beirut.

The 5-day Work Success Boot Camp, a premiere in Lebanon and especially tailored for Bank of Beirut, aims at providing university students and recent graduates with an intensive program to improve key skills and prepare them for the job market. Training modules helped student create impressive resumes and improve interview skills to impress prospective employers. The companies that hire Boot Camp graduates will appreciate the strong communication and presentation skills that were developed to help them deliver any message clearly and powerfully. Time management, networking, and teamwork skills were also developed as critical competencies valued by employers in all sectors.

In addition to the workshop spread over 5 consecutive Saturdays, the program is augmented with dynamic initiatives which will have long-term professional rewards for the youth. Each day, students interacted with dynamic trainers and guest speakers from a diverse range of private, public and civic sector organizations. By establishing networks with leaders of different companies and organizations, Boot Camp students increased their opportunities to land interesting internship and job opportunities.

The Boot Camp idea stems from a shared desire to invest in the Lebanese youth. Bank of Beirut and AMIDEAST partnered to join forces to provide professional development programs to young adults ranging from ages 18 - 25. Bank of Beirut U for Youth program with AMIDEAST offers workshops to fit different needs among the youth’s professional development stages.
