Fransabank inaugurated the 9th Edition of JABAL Exhibition “Jeunes Artistes des Beaux Arts du Liban” on Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Hotel Le Gray Beirut where a large number of art lovers and media gathered from 6 till 10 pm to view the work of talented young painters, sculptors, photographers, videographers, designers and even installation artists. The event took place in presence of HE President Adnan Kassar, Chairman of Fransabank Group and almost a thousand visitors attended the reception including number of ministers and deputies alongside key figures from the business, economy and media worlds.

JABAL cultural initiative was launched by Fransabank from 1998 till 2006 and was hosted each year in a different part of Lebanese introducing more than 300 emerging artists from different regions, out of whom more than fifty are today a pride to the nation and have made their way to international recognition.

During her welcome speech, Mrs. Dania Kassar, head of marketing and Corporate Communication at Fransabank stressed that: “Through JABAL, Fransabank strives to reflect the diversity and vitality of the emerging contemporary creativity in Lebanon, confirming once again the role of the Bank as a talents’ discoverer and as a supporter of Art for the cultural radiance of the generations to come.”

25 artists, 25 ways to see the world !

This year again, and through JABAL’s 9th Edition, Fransabank shaped the Lebanese art scenery by giving the chance for new talents to exhibit their work in a professional setting and introduced them to the public and art galleries. The opening ceremony showcased the work of 25 promising artists selected by JABAL's artistic committee; 18 artists sold their artwork and for some the totality of the exhibited pieces.
